Equipment Type: MediumFormat
Equipment Brand: Zeiss
Equipment Model: Ikonta 521/16 (6x6) folder with f3.5 75mm Tessar and Compur-Rapid shutter
Price (S$): 200
Description:
For sale, one 521/16 (6x6) folder with f3.5 75mm Tessar and Compur-Rapid shutter with speeds B, 1s-1/500s. Takes 12 shots per roll of 120 film. Angle of view is equivalent to 50mm on 35mm film (135) cameras. Also included is the (probably) original leather case and strap stamped Zeiss Ikon on the front and Made in Germany on the back.
I purchased this camera from Jurgen Kreckel (http://www.certo6.com/) who specialises in restoring old folders. He did a CLA (clean, lubricate, adjust) on the shutter, lens and camera as well as refurbished the bellows, always the weak point of folding cameras. The camera was just sent for cleaning in June 2009.
Not sure of its exact year of manufacture, but this model was made between 1937-1954. The camera and case are clean and in good working order. They're at least 50 years old, so they won't be new and shiny. The lens has some haze, but no fungus or scratches. It's not affected the quality of the photos. Negatives and prints available for viewing if I accept your initial offer.
Please note that this camera does not have a rangefinder, exposure meter, or accessory shoe.
