A slightly problematic Pentacon Six, quirky, but some people may be able to live with the quirks.
I have a Hassy 500c/m so no need for me to keep this camera.
Cosmetics are good,
80mm f2.8 Lens with perfect glass, snappy apertures and smooth focusing.
Slight wear on lens barrel due to age, i'd rate it 8.5/10 cosmetically.
Metered prism INCLUDED. I don't think the metering is accurate, and the battery might be dead, but it's still working i'm pretty sure. Aside from that, it's a good eye level prism for eliminating stray light during focusing when working in very sunny areas and for composing shots.
Pentacon Six body is with some problems. The waist level finder sometimes does not close, but it's something to do with the spring. Just a light touch on it "resets" the spring and nothings wrong.
Mirror sometimes does not extend down fully, and causes you to lose a frame during the malfunction. I do not know why, perhaps some mechanism is tight / loose somewhere, and it can probably be easily diagnosed. A light touch on the mirror will bring it back to normal, and wind again to advance to the next frame.
On some rolls, overlapping frames may occur. I suspect this is due to user error as it's not a consistent problem on all my rolls. Majority of them come out fine.
NO light leaks. Shutter is accurate.
Camera is sold as-is with no returns. I try my best to state as honestly the issues with the camera. Camera has been priced accordingly. If you are looking for a very very cheap Pentacon Six in relatively beautiful cosmetic condition, this is it. And the waist level finder costs abit too.
Like i said, it's a little quirky, but not unuseable. I doubt you will ever lose the cost of the number of frames to the price difference i've lowered it down to.
Original leather half case and strap INCLUDED.
I'd rate the overall cosmetics at a 9/10, and working condition at 7/10
