This is the highly rated Tamron supertelephoto which i'm letting go. Bought it initially for astrophotography in mind. But don't have the time now. For those into birding but can't afford the AFS and USM versions, this is the one to get.
Images are very sharp and contrast is high wide open. Every bit as good as the Nikon 400mm f/3.5 lens. Aperture ring clicks at every half stop. Lens focuses down to 2.7m which is extremely close compared to other marque 400mm supertelephotos. Add the matching 1.4x teleconvertor for even larger image scale.
Condition of lens and body is totally mint. There are only a few light scratches on the lens hood. Otherwise it will score a mint rating.
Comes with the huge original 114mm front filter, box, manual, 1.4x matching SP teleconvertor and 43mm skylight filters.
Lying in dry box all the time.
