Bought it as my first birding lens. Selling as I am moving to Nikon.
I keep my lens in a dry cabinet so you can be sure they are in pristine condition.
The lens is perfectly ok. Only the rubber looks white but still good to hold and use with no discomfort.
This photo has just been taken at 300mm
Shot hand held. So you can see there is some slight softness. Just want to give a more realistic photo. This is the maximum sharpness you can hope to get.
As I mentioned I got this lens for birding. From my many experiences a lot of fun from using this lens is to get close to the bird without disturbing it so as to get a good distance. To give a honest view, the trick to using this lens is to use with tripod, else have really steady hands and technique and take many shots 5-20. You should have a few keepers out of the group. Your mileage may vary.
This is my best shot with the lens. You can be sure my lens is a sharp copy.
