Detailed Description:
1. For sale is a Zeiss Contax G Biogon T* 21mm F2.8 lens. The lens is
in good overall condition, internal elements are clear with no visible
scratches or haze; and cosmetically in good appearance.
2. Background: This is a Classic lens, a Zeiss masterpiece with
excellent colour depth, resolution and low distortion. It is part of
the G lenses for the Contax G camera system in the negative era. Due
to their excellent qualities, many Zeiss Contax G lenses are converted
(using adapters) to Leica M mount and others such as Sony/Nex E-mount.
I used the lens with a Sony Nex camera using a Shogun Contax G to E
mount adapter some 10 years ago, an excellent combination. When I
switched to the A7R series the lens has since been left in the drybox.
Lately I noticed the Shogun adapter is not able to attach properly to
the lens, so the adapter is not included in the sale. Successful buyer
can have it if desired.
3. The sale includes:
- Zeiss Contax G Biogon T* 21mm F2.8 lens,
- B+W 55E KR 1,5 1,1x skylight camera filter lens,
- Contax front cap,
- Back cap, and
- Contax Viewfinder GF-21.
