I have several lenses to sell. All in native or converted M42 mounts. Almost not using DSLR now so going to let go to others who may continue to enjoy the hobby.

(1) Contax 85mm f1.4 MMG

This is the rare made in Germany version of Contax 85mm f1.4 before production was shifted to Japan. You can find many copies of MMJ but will be hard to come across a MMG. While Zeiss will say that both are the same. I have both MMG and MMJ at the same time and am able to compare them. The MMG have a superior multi-coating which is purplish while the MMJ is greenish. I find the purplish multi-coating to be more resistant to flare. The MMG is also a little bit heavier than the MMJ. I do not know if it is due to the difference in glass or metal barrel.

This copy has been converted to M42 using Leitax mount. You have the option to adapt it to many camera systems with this mount. It also comes with the hard to find original screw-in type No 4 metal hood (with 67/86 ring). The hood has a dent on it.

(2) Rollei 50mm f1.8

This is a metal barrel, made in Singapore, Rollei 50mm f1.8. These small and light 50mm were made in West Germany before being produced in Singapore. This metal barrel is in the same mound as those that were made in Germany. The later versions of made in Singapore were made of plastics.

This lens has been re-machined to fit M42 mount by a master machinist in Taiwan. The words made in Singapore was lost in the process of the mount conversion. However, the QBM mount which cannot be adapted has been replaced with the versatile M42. Infinity focus can be achieved after mount conversion.

So if you are interested to keep a piece of Singapore history this SG50 year. What can be better than a made in Singapore 50mm ? Even if it is not about Singapore, this lens is probably the one and only converted M42 metal barrel Rollei 50mm f1.4 with infinity focus assured.
