Detailed Description:
Comes with original box, certificate/paper and leather pouch (all in great shape), a period 43mm Nikon filter and 43mm Nikon front cap and S mount metal rear cap. I attached a lens tab which can be removed.
Lens itself is in good working condition. It has light oil on the aperture blades but this has no effect on function. Focus works throughout the range. Glass has some dust and what appear to be hairline marks and bubbles, reflective of the lens's age (it is from 1956), but the glass is clear. None of the dust/hairlines/bubbles have had any effect on the image quality based on my shooting. Lens has surprising flare resistance and centre sharpness.
This lens is increasingly hard to come by, especially with box and its contents. The Leica Thread Mount version goes for 4x to 5x the cost of this lens. It is not in collector condition, but is certainly great as a shooter lens with a touch of collectability (a time capsule!) and as a conversation starter.
