Otherwise for Headshots, 1/4 or 3/4 Portrait, I cannot recommend a better starting lens for your portraits of your friends and family.
Only taken out 8 times to find out it doesn't suit me. Been in my camera bag or dry box ever since.

I'm only letting go because the focal length does not suit me. I'm more of a 50mm guy.
