Sorry just to reiterate, yes this lens does not come with hood and filter, hence it is reduced price with respect from my cousin's advice.

The last piece sold in this forum goes for $300 without filter (but with hood), and recently posted a 24mm RS version for $440, hence commanding such price at $280 is fair enough for majority, do not ask for lower price like $230, i do not entertain them as I am just helping to sell.

If you got budget, get the 28mm, do not ask for low prices when this is a 24mm..

Now if you do think this lens still only deserve below $280, let me give you an interesting fact

Though i am a Nikon user, rightfully owned 24mm 28mm 35mm and have trial tested this minolta 24mm myself, i do know the supreme lens quality of 24mm when compared to the brother minolta 28mm, when it comes to speed and colour reproduction.
