Description:
This Jupiter 12 spots the Contax RF bayonet mount and is in good condition. There's no fungus or haze, aperture and focus ring runs smoothly. There're some dust specks inside but shouldn't affect image quality. The beautiful, large and "exposed" rear element is free from scratches and damages. Comes with the rear cap to protect it. Along with it is the matching 35mm viewfinder, similarly clean and bright. Both have the original cases.
Jupiter 12 is actually a copy of Carl Zeiss Biogon 35mm f/2.8 and the first few samples were actually assembled with Zeiss (Germany) optical glasses after the war. A peculiar lens but well made lens. Can be adapted to full frame cameras but not APC. My understanding is that the internal clearance is usually insufficient for the rear element.
