Please note: This is the IS version and very well reviewed. the F 2.8 versions are heavy and F4 L IS have been there for over 12 years. Recently (in 2018) they released a marked II, with minor enhancements. Still in production.
Please research on this version and check reviews. It's a very sharp and good lens.
