The soft case is originally meant for the 60D (which I'm using now) but in actual fact is a tad small. As such, it covers and protects the 1000D nicely all around, even when using it with the 75-300. Much more convenient as compared to having to bring a bulky camera bag out; just wrap the camera up and place it in your regular bag.
