Hi
I am looking to sell this awesome birding setup for just $1800 (open to reasonable negotiations). If the price is met, I will throw in a Kenko 1.4x DGX Pro 300 extender worth over $200.
The 1D Mk3 is in great shape, almost minty as I have 4 Canon camera bodies. Comes with box and most accessories. This from a later batch and has all fixes rolled out by Canon and it has no AF issues whatsoever.
The 400mm f5.6 is probably the best bang for your buck birding lens. Its quick AF is fantastic for both bird in flight and birds that are just chilling out. Whatsapp me if you want to see some of my birding shots achieved with this combo. Comes with lens coat so the exterior is in very good shape, except for normal scuff marks on the tripod mount. Will throw in a 77mm UV filter. AF is working fantastic.
The best thing about this combo is that the 1d mk3, being a pro body will still autofocus accurately at f8 if you attach the 1.4x extender to this lens.
Willing to sell separately for $900 for each.
