If the Holga is a basic introduction to medium format, then we urge you to think of the Lubitel. The Holga's funky blur and dark edges are charming for many types of picture, but if you want more sharpness in your edges, and more importantly, control over exposure, then the Lubitel is a better choice. The Lubitel can give some very respectable pictures. Comparing the picture quality with the other medium format cameras, it comes somewhere between the Holga and the Kiev - closer to the Kiev than to the Holga.
Viewing and Taking lenses are both clear with no fungus or haze. Some dust do exist but with that magnifying coke glass, we meant ground glass
all things near are magnified to like 6 or 7 times especially if there are some inevitable dust on the mirror. But those are things which will never ever affect your pictures. No cracks as well.
The viewfinder is both clear and bright. Shutter speed works great.
Everything works great and focusing is smooth as well. Overall an easy 9 condition.
Comes with its authentic CASING which is not pictured, leather strap and a cap for the picture taking lens.
4 rolls of Kodak Portra NC160 and NC400 (expiry in mid 2008 and early 2009) are given free.
