Description:
The original Pen Half frame was created by Yoshihisa Maitani, the genius camera designer, who sadly past away on July this year. Besides the Pen series, the XA and OM were also the brainchild of this visionary Japanese.
This is a half frame camera, capable of taking 72 shots on a roll of 36 exposures film. The EE-2 uses a shutter speed of either 1/40 or 1/200.
For normal use, the selenium meter sets the f-stop and the shutter speed is fixed at 1/200. The slow shutter speed setting occurs when the film speed/aperture dial is set to an aperture setting. The camera can be used in low-light situations by setting the dial to the aperture settings -- with or without a flash.
If you are puzzled by all the EE2 or EE3 features, fret not as they are nearly or rather totally identical in terms of features.
Viewfinder is both bright and clear after it was cleaned. The shutter unit was stripped and the lenses were cleaned from inside out. It has no fungus, haze or scratches. The selenium metering works great and responds to different light situations accordingly.
The old light seals were worn out and hence removed. New light seals were then installed.
Comes with 2 rolls of films for you to kick start. Overall, a nice and clean camera with minimal wear.
