ZOOM range is 18x from 27 - 486 mm on a 35mm camera with aperture F2.8 - F4.5. Menu is easy to understand so not difficult to learn shooting in manual mode which gives better pictures den auto mode. Would recommend this cam more for beginner shooters moving up from compacts to prosumers.
