I ordered the above item from Jtec and in the interim upgraded to a NEX-7. The plate is useless to me now. It's never been used and is still sealed in the JTec zip bag.
I think it wants to go to a home with a NEX-5 of a NEX-5N in it. Right now, it's just sitting in my drawer, giving me dirty looks of betrayal every time I open it. If my NEX-7 wasn't so awesome, I'd probably feel bad.
