Sorry to break your heart big guy. The so called PC show special price is nothing special. The lens can get at lower price from dealers (ms color, cathay etc). I'm not sure whats the latest pricing, but definitely below $400 from what i last heard.

Just to contribute some information, I just bought the EFS 55-250 IS from John 3:16 last week on the 10th Jun before flying off to Bangkok the next day.

It was $360. I also picked up some other stuff along the way. Seems that this is the market price for cash deal, +/- $10-$20 difference between dealers.

i just bought this lens from Cathay Photo too... it's about $360 at most camera stores... well... guess u should make good use of that lens instead... rather then selling it off at a loss... cheers

lolx...as I'm new so got to "pay" to learn loh. Np lah, will start making full use of my Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS and shoot some nice photos with it! Cheers!

Put it to good use bro. The IS is very useful at 250mm. It produces quite good pics one, only that the body construction is not as solid as its higher end brothers only.
