Keep them. it's the best way to remember a time when each shot is taken after careful composition and where ISO is fixed for the next 24/36 frames.
It's also a way to remember that Minolta had one of the fastest AF, and that at each price point, it offers the most feature-packed body.

Well said! If not for my wedding assignments, I would probably never want to switch to DSLR.

Hmm, my srt super, 9xi, 8000i and my x300 is still in my cabinet. Don't think that they are working anymore but I won't even think of parting with them.

I am still holding on to my Dynax 505si and Dynax 7.

I am "holding on" to exactly the same cameras. I do not touch the 505si since forever and the 7 is on permanent loan to a friend who needs it more ;p.

Yes except for the 7. I enjoyed switching film and advancing them on a need be-basis.

I am keeping my 404si & 7xi;)

You can try P&G or TCW.

Can call Sony service centre and check.

seems that there are quite a few 505si super users here. I am holding a 505si 2, will keep it with my Minolta old Af lens;)

How much does it cost for general cleaning and servicing? And is it really necessary? I've been holding onto my film cameras for more than 10 yrs, never sent them for servicing/cleaning before. :o

Film not necessary... DSLR also not necessary IMO... I don't get a lot of dust on my sensor for the SONY cameras with their cleaning device installed. Usually a few hard puffs from the blower would solve the problem... anything else can be cloned out...

Still have my x-700 & x-300 with lots of MD lens. Simple yet capable of producing good result. Though seldom use, Never think of give up. Prefer to carry the flim body with a prime lens during my annual vacation.
