If you're shooting for a friend's event no charge. The client paid for 40 of your friends talents/models plus 4 of their own videographers. No Photographer. You took candids and coverage of the event using top notch equipments (not amateurishly taken). The clients wants your photo, however, you must...
1. Remove all traces of your watermark
2. Not getting paid for your photos at all

Would you have give the client your photos out of goodwill?

The way I see it, you friend asked you to be the photographer for free! for an event for his client. You agreed.
You went down and found out that he paid for 40 models and 4 videographers and that you were the official photographer there.
Now the client wants the photographs off the event, he paid your friend for.
In this case, just explain to the client that your friend has not paid you anything for taking those photos.

Many photographers like to give their service away for free, it just make everybody think photography service should cost noting.

they are not part of photography industry, they have no obligation to follow any advises or guidelines,
this is just plain selfish and left the whole industry stink.


sad to see this will happen again and again and again and again and again and again.........
