Would you buy camera overseas just cause it's cheaper?

Ok chill. We're talking cameras here. Let's not get out of hand here. It's a peaceful discussion. Some prefer to buy overseas coz it's cheaper some people buy it here coz it's convenient and warranty status

Just curious of other's opinion.

I saw a thread on the list of HK camera shops to get from , but i can't get them online right?

Anyway if it's a repeat thread. admin welcome to close this thread.

Not all people think the same way,

some people prefer to go the same shop for the past 30 years, have the sale persons serve them green tea before showing the camera,
some people can shop from AMK to Orchard to Funan to Sim Lim just to save $30.
some people rather buy from HN or Courts becos of extended warranty and installant payment,
some people opt to shop online becos too lazy to get out their house,
some people go HK shopping more often than visiting their in laws,

you see, everyone preference is not the same, so you just do whatever you see fit.

A great summary.
Those young ones and cost conscious ones will try to maximise their budgets, risks not withstanding.
Those with deeper pockets will reward the vendors with good service.
I have an old army friend who works in Alan Photo, so I go there for most of my purchases.
But I have also bought a flash and some other gear off Amazon.

Anyway from the discussion here, it's all kopitiam talk rather than a real request for help...
