It really depends. If it was used by Chiif, $4.6k would be a no brainer to buy.

Leica is a premium boutique brand. You can just about get anything fixed if you're willing to wait it out. I was actually quite happy that a CLA done in Solms didn't cost me a lot. Best thing is, Schmidt will always acknowledge your Leica product regardless of where and how you bought it.

Besides, it's quite a tank. Just don't talk about WB! :sweatsm:

Second hand M8 can be as low as $4.6k. (Chiif is of course a reputable/reliable seller.)

Don't buy SH M8 w/o warranty. any repair is likely to be v costly.

Though, I am sure some M8 users here have still kept their DSLRs as options. How many people with the M8 here still regularly use their DSLRs and would you buy a D3?
