true......and it will be tough for a replacement photographer coz he does not know what has been agreed on, etc.....
even the option of escrow services is a bit tough to implement unless you are collecting via internet or the clients are willing to come to the WPAS HQ.....:sweat:
What the association intended was to provide the 'last line of defence'. Normally photogs already have their partners/friends as standby, however it's observed that such informal groupings are firstly small in number and thus the 'backup' might be unavailable on occasions such as 'hot dates' as well...
WPAS is in a way 'formalising' such arrangement by providing a service in pooling resources against risks. This also relief the photog the extra burden of having to make seperate arrangements for every assigment.
The backup photog is envisaged to only provide coverage. The photos taken will still be given to the actual photog to follow up and fufill his/her contract and deliverables.
