Why would a vampire want to be human. For the rotting flesh and stolen blood, i have immortality to observe how everything ends.

Check out the book 'Interview with a Vampire' by Anne Rice. It's not a bliss to have eternal life, especially when you have to live it in darkness. It was made into a film staring Tom Cruise, Brat Pitt and a very young Kristine Dunst. Very nice movie.
