Busy Chinatown
Olympus EM10MarkII+Olympus 7-14mm Pro, nodal ninja pano rail, Haida 6 stops ND.
Met an elderly hobbyist photographer at the same location, he took out a simple Nikon compact camera from his plastic bag, shot the roughly same view as where I shot, no tripod, no frills, simple. Turns out he is Mr Quek Tiong Swee, ok, I confess that I don't know who he was then, but after a chat turns out he has been documenting Singapore changes for the past 30 yrs of hobby. And he had donated his works (8000) to National Heritage Board. There I was, ironically, with my tripod, nodal rail, my filter, digital mirrorless cam with widest lens trying to capture a history of what I deem as my photography life.
You can find some of his donated works here.

It does brings back memories and even helped me learn a thing or two about our past, and perhaps rethink how my photography life should be. The short chat, the photos, resonates well with me, and will be for a long time to come.
