Ran into some technical problems yesterday. Finally uploading yesterday's pic now. Taken by the poolside at my friend's condo

this is a good shot...i would prolly like to crop away the black strip at the top, but the exposure and sharpness here are really first rate. :thumbsup:

Last night supposed to go BP Park to shoot the pond, but fell asleep after making my daughter sleep. Weak, man :bsmilie: Later will post a shot I took at my parents' place, bo bian ;p

eh wiz, no worries man. think everyone will run out of ideas at some point or the other. why not look up some photography magazines, look around your surroundings etc? Read, experience and seeing will help you generate more ideas!

didn't know you like to collect these little stuff ;p interesting, the 'halo' on top gives it a little comic effect :sweat: btw you can try putting a white piece of paper below the toy, maybe can bounce some light up to fill in some of the shadow parts

this is my pick! love it! looks a tad bit tilted though, but the lighting is sweet~ deeper dof to get the full knight sharp would be sweet too. good job on the lighting the top looks like he's holy or sth. haha

U're right, it is tilted. I guess the figurine is quite old already. I chose to make it look vertical, so the base is a bit off horizontal. You are right abt the DOF also. I only noticed the lower portion was OOF after I downloaded the pic. Will take note next time ... Really appreciate it, man!
