Hi ,

Had manage to use Vista's Windows Movie Maker to edit and produce a small video clip. But whenever i use the "Publish to" function to transfer it ot either computer, DVD or Rec CD.
The screen just turns white and always prompt the error box to "Windows Movie Maker has stopped working. Restart the Program".

anyone manage to solve this problem?

thanks.

What system you are using? Laptop or Desktop?

What type of clips you are edit in WMM?

Rec CD have your CD-R/DVD writer ready and working?

Try save into This computer/DV-AVI PAL or NTSC as a .avi file. Used Nero to burn into DVD or VCD.

Most of my family video i used is Window movie maker and is very user friendly .. Why don't u saved it in different format than use other DVD/VCD software to burn it..

I'm having a Duocore Processor. 1G RAM. Notebook Acer 5572Aspire.

Editing the clips i had imported from my MiniDV camcorder in AVI file.

Editing, adding music, adding effects is ok. Can see my work playing fine.

Everything is ok until i go to the "publish it" selection...it hangs on any selection i select.

I check with the Vista Movie Maker Forum. Obviously the problems lies with WIN VISTA !!! I had change the Registry file as recommended in the forum and "Whoa lah..." it works !!

Now i can publish all my edited videos.

Hi Redial.

How u change the registry file?
