The long-awaited film of Alan Moore's classic comic book/graphic novel found it heavy going despite a very simple, straightforward mystery ;)

Do not watch it..
Its a waste of time and money..

Ive watched it and its really really really bad..
This is the worst DC comic movies EVER!

If u wanna watch it, just watch it online.. save money and save time..
Its really not worth it..

watch and regret. So I will never watch it again even if it is free I wun waste my 2 h 20mins there unless I need a good slp.

The responses here only prove that if you know nothing about the comics where it was based from, you will not appreciate the movie at all. Any quibbles anyone had with the movie is just a result of having to stick with the original graphic novel. I suggest anyone gives it a read first before watching the movie. And if you appreciate the graphic novel, i am sure you will appreciate the film. Otherwise, stay away. ;)

watchmen = simple

whee

i suppose da vinci code is complex then, wao

I watched it over the weekend and I must say its not a movie that any ordinary audience will appreciate.
I liked it, being the 2nd best superhero movie next to The Dark Knight.
A superhero movie without any super power, but rather a complex multi-layered character study about ordinary people with a superhero identity.
I especially liked the character Roschard, I think his performance stands out the most. Even when he was wearing a mask 90% of the time, i felt he emoted more emotions than Brad Pitt in Benjamin Button.
If your looking for action and heavy special effect kind of show, than you will definetly be disappointed.

Will surely watch again on the DVD to capture some plot holes.

Yup, those looking for the typical Iron Man/Spiderman type of movie will be disappointed.

I was surprised that they actually went ahead to make the movie despite the fact that the comic is not exactly mainstream. I remember the comic fondly. I still have the original issues #1-#6.

I was worried when I brought my wife along to watch it but luckily she said it all made sense in the end :)

I think 70% of the audience catch no ball ;p

I personally like it very much. Not your normal costume super hero fight super villain kind of movie. If you expect to see that on this movie oh boy will you be surprise. Remind me of the classic war and peace, all that love, hate, war and just been human even you are a super hero. Minds you I have never seen the original comic:devil::)

IMO, i think they tried to squeeze too much content into a single movie.. It would have been better to better explain the story by having sequels, rather than squeezing in so much, and yet trying to rush it through!

and YES, most of the audience (including me) were hoping for the movie to end after the 2-hr mark! haha..

If their target group are DC comic readers only, i'm pretty certain that they will make a very heavy loss! :D

it was almost full house (consider big theater) when I watch. 10-20 of viewer actually walk off before movie really end.

Love the show. Something very different... a superhero movie for the thinking man.
Especially loved the 5 minutes long opening credit.. almost a movie in itself with all the montages and CGI special effects...
Those who are interested can catch it here...
