limwhow Senior Member Aug 13, 2010 #3 Depends entirely on what you wish to achieve. Unmodified to shoot IR photos hoping to have no shakes/ movement using fast shutter speed? Then can forget the whole thing. But to shoot landscape with long exposure- certainly can.

Additional to what SDW has said, u must pray hard that there isn't much strong wind, or rather, no wind at all. If not, the leaves or branches will turn out blurred.
