Will I damage my DSLR if I bring it into Snow city. -9C

Once your camera is wet (from melted snow etc) it is actually bad to put it inside ziploc bag before going indoor. This is because condensation will form anyway since there are moisture inside the bag, and there is no way for them to evaporate because the ziploc bag is sealed.

hmm.. makes sense. So its means if anything, I would need to throughly wipe it down if I were to use the bag? Thanks for pointing it out.

np at all, unless u are talking about Arctic Ocean north pole or south pole.

I worked as a photographer there before.

We , the company are using D5000 , D200.

No PnS Allowed , No DSLR of course.

A few china man took out their camera and shoot around. I immediately went over and tell them off. They didnt follow the instruction and he got scolded by me the second time.

Haha.

Please advise

you better not.

all the people in cold countries have huge problems with dslrs exploding in low temperatures. everytime after winter, you will see people flocking to the camera shops to purchase new dslrs.

if you are in a cold dry country......no issue...even -20C. But in Singapore...after the cold temp and you bring out to 30C....water condense inside the camera.....good luck.

DSLR will survive
Bring mine to hokkaido, niseko when skiing, no prob
If u take in the DSLR inside when cold, dun take out after u come out.
Put ur DSLR inside ur bag and dun take out till temp is the same as outside

Been there a couple years ago and a nice lady took photos for us (PnS) and even mailed it to us! But they might have changed the rules abit since...

I'll be very worried about condensation since the change in temp is very drastic. So suggest you don't do it bro... might try to sneak in a PnS for a quick one at most.

its interesting to c many people asking about such question in the forum.. i wonder wat other photographers use iin cold countries? special cameras ? aint we all using the same cameras ? faints.. n did thiers survive ? or they start to ask around.. are cameras able to survive in tropical countries?
