Not true. I have asked Canon Singapore about their International warranty policy. As long as you can produce the International warranty card and the receipt, they will honor the 1 year warranty - not six months as some here had allured to.

As long as the Warranty card stated international warranty, with the original purchase receipt produced. You are good for a year.

this question has already been asked many times , but each time no one will be able to give a definite answer, simply because price hikes and drops are hard to predict.

Unless yen drops to 1.4 SGD : 100 yen. If not lens price might be stagnant.
That makes ppl think of buying from US or HK.

On the long run, I think prices will drop sooner or later as technology usually gets cheaper and better over time.However, some price hikes may occur due to low exchange rates but this usually returns to the original price after some time.This is just my opinion and I am not a financial expert.

wah sounds like a good deal man. comes with international warranty? my take, the price hikes were meant to increase profits due to the increase in demand. the exchange rates triggered it and were just an excuse to do it.

yeah, i'm tired of them citing the exchange rate as the primary reason for the increase. it gets pretty hackneyed after a while. lenses should come with international warranty if you choose one with USA warranty (not the grey sets).

the canon rebates (US only) will end after july 11, so place your order soon if you intend to buy from bhphoto or adorama.
