WikiLeaks. Is it leaking too much?

i'm surprised at the negativity surrounding the leaks.
transparency in governments is good. Hidden agenda? The guy is an anarchist. The agenda is not hidden at all.

The context and accuracy of the leaks are questionable and may affect the relationships between friendly countries. Also, there are many things that do not fall within the "need to know" category even in the context of government transparency; and would only pose threats to international security and stability when leaked.

True. but this only make it worse...this world is already in such a mess, wikileaks did nothing but make it worse...

:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup: ....agreed!

If the so call "leaks" from the business world are out in the future, I think there will even be more chaos...

Did wikipedia find out when does the 5Dmk4 coming out from Canon Inc?

read from newpaper today... its actually a US soldier (pte somemore) who got access to this secret network that he downloaded these cables and forwards to wikileak founder.

An old ruse.
In WW2, the British purposely planted fake secret data in destroyed vehicles for the Germans to "discover" in the North African desert. The Germans stupidly believed it and were led to their ruin.

Fast forward 70 years....to 2010.
Same old sh*t.
Is it so easy for a private soldier to "discover" diplomatic documents?
An unencrypted too?!!

But likewise just as in WW2 got stupid people believe.

If it was important they would have encrypted the documents.

The way the UK courts are treating so lightly - it is a clear signal that the whole thing is fake.
If it was for real, the wikileak guy and even those assisting him to reveal the info would surely have been killed by now, by mysterious people from various agencies.

Most probably Malaysia has also in one way or another, bad mouthed Singapore behind our backs.. They are not really that "nice" as well lor....How many times have we heard of unwarranted comments from our neighbours?

But lucky for them, they did not tell their "secrets" to United States...:bsmilie:

Behind our backs? I dun remember they being so diplomatic ... often I read abt abt what is said in their rallies etc fr the press ...

If someone is to leak all the conversations between Julian Assange and his defense lawyer... will wikileaks put it up?
