wide-angles or fish-eyes?

hey, just asking arnd for a friend of mine. would it be better to get a fish-eye or a wide angle lens?

They are both totally different. Depends on what you want to achieve.

Ff money is no object, get both. IMHO, wide angle lens will be used more often, therefore more practical to buy. I would only use Fisheye when I want to get that specific effect. If money is scarce, I would suggest getting the wide angle lens first. Then later when enough money have been saved, get the fisheye, if you still think you want it.
