Wide Angle lens

No probs at all , I'm actually more interested in who's the lady now ;)

O9-18 is still one of the most compact UWA in MFT even though the O7-14/2.8 definitely outperforms it. Like you said it boils down to personal opinions and of course one's budget.

Hahaha, I tell you tomorrow ;)

Ultimately Vizard87, if you can rent, borrow or steal (hopefully not steal), try them out for yourselves. A Toyota VIOS on paper is good for its price, but I can barely fit in it :bsmilie: Likewise, 7-14 may give you the widest possible image (next to fisheyes) but if you don't need that wide and 9-18 fits you 95% of the time, then just get the 9-18

I'd add to the same point: rent and see the angle first hand. I seldom use such a wide angle in my shots, s0 if i have an assignment I'll just rent as I can't justify the expense (yet). If I really need for landscape I'd go for rokinon as is waaay cheaper. CRC is a good shop and their staff is friendly.

Glad you took wise decision to rent UWA lens first to test out.

As has been said, light trails can be done with practically any equipment. You need patience and a desire to learn.

For wide angle, wider than the 12-40mm or 12-35mm, I actually went to a Nikon body as US$359 got me the Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8, which is not weather-sealed. I'd rather have bought the Olympus 7-14mm f/2.8 but landscape shots are such a minor part of my shooting, it was easier to find ultra wide lenses on APS-C.

Hey! Haven't seen you around in a long time!

Hey! Haven't seen you around in a long time!

Hey! That's true. It's a long story but I moved about 4500 km across the U.S.A. in July 2014, and I've been photographing at skate parks most days, and recording a lot of video for about the last year.

I'm still using my Four-Thirds and micro Four-Thirds equipment for the skate parks and got the Nikon equipment for wide stuff like landscapes.

Sounds cool hahaha

Maybe, it was. If you're interested, take a look at , all shot on the GH4 with various micro Four-Thirds equipment at skate parks all over California.

Thank you, sir! I'm glad to be visiting again. Winter gives me more time to catch up.
