Shouldn't you just get Canon easier?

well.... stuck with the sigma for this range which I seldom use (17-50), not much point changing to Canon's version.

Just embrace sigma's colours lo... Life's more interesting with variety :-)

Aiya, just shoot with what you have.

There is one alternative not mentioned a lot, that is the Carl Zeiss range of primes.
One plus point that I have found with these lenses, is the color fidelity and resolution, both of which are of the highest standard.

Hi, can any bro here can recommend a wide angle lens suitable to interior shoot? I do not need high end model but $$1000 and below. Need not be canon brand. any other brand thats is reliable. currently using canon 650D. Thanks in advance.

I'm sure many know that Zeiss lenses are good but those do not come cheap. TS got a budget of $1k.

Sure...but many of the recommendations here are also over $1k.

How much is this lens?

Depends on which FL, but the range starts from high $1k+ to way above that. The 15mm would be the most expensive.
Also depends on whether you get the grey set or not.

saw some comments on the superiority of EF-S 10-22 over EF 17-40 and EF 16-35.. ya, i think the 10-22 is really good.. i did though to go FF, but my fren warned me abt the bad distortion of 17-40.. 16-35 is not cheap..

i think for ppl going FF, maybe they can consider Tokina new UWA lens? AF 17-35mm f/4.0 with 82mm filter thread.. no sure how it performs though.. else move to nikon FF, nikon uwa lens with VR seems good from what i read here in CS..

The Nikkor 16-35mm f/4 has the worst curvilinear distortions I've seen. I thought even Canon's 17-40mm was better.

ops.. so for nikon, uwa with filter thread, there is only AF-S 17-35mm f/2.8D IF-ED left to consider???

if i ever go FF, i may get D800E.. the lack of AA filter seems to produce sharper pics , but dpreview says one can see the diff at optimal aperture only.. too bad i didn't try it enough when my fren lend me one.

But as a Nikon user, abit bo bian leh.. Want to buy new, it's either to buy the 14-24 which gives the best IQ but without conventional filter solution (LEE SW-150 is very expensive), or accept the 16-35mm that has conventional filters but lots of distortions.

I know there's the 17-35, but not sure if there's still new sets selling. Anyways, it lacks weather sealing (if I'm not wrong) and not suitable for those weather stormers.

17-35mm is still being sold but for what they are asking for locally, its not worth it. Either get a used one or buy from overseas.

IQ of the 16-35mm is quite similar to the 14-24mm, cept for the curvilinear distortions.

The wide angle 21mm f2.8 IIRC cost 2.4k. My mate bought that 4 months back from TK
