I'm looking for a wide angle converter for the Canon MV920. It's an affordable lower end camcorder.

Did a search but seems like the wide converters are for the more expensive High definition video cams from Canon and Sony.

Do they sell 3rd party ones that can be fixed to any video cam?

I'm always finding that the focal length is not wide enough. Makes capturing travel videos and interiors more limited....

thanks as usual!

Thanks.. But Arghh.. The MV920 cannot attach any filter to its front lens as there is no thread.

So looks like cannot use any converter also. :(

Oops! Sorry Andreq, that's too bad.

Where can i get a non-sony wide converter that can fit on the SR12e? Thread 37mm.

sorry i came into this thread late. there's a wide angle converter which comes with a magnetic ring which you can paste onto the ring of the camcorder lens. the converter is 'connected' to that by magnetic force.

there is a huge drawback. the magnet isn't strong enough to withstand a knock or bump so the converter can fall off when that happens. you will need to modify a strap to 'catch' the falling converter.
