why u choose canon

When I 1st started... all my colleagues use Canon. Using Canon mean I could easily learn from the rest of them... borrowing items like lens and Speedlite is also not an issue.

Now, after having a set of EF/EF-S lenses and Speedlite... not really possible to jump ship without spending alot more $$$ to replace the lenses or flash I'll need for a new system.

Cus I was attracted by the red ring made by Canon

Bcoz the 1st camera I got is a 1959 Canon from my grandfather?

Canon has 70-200mm F4 IS lens. This is the thing I want. F2.8 is too heavy and $X for me as a hobbyist. I prefer Nikon's body but Lenses are #1 for me

When I first became interested in DSLRs, Canon had the best lenses and sensors. Now, there are more choices...

because the full frame is the most affordable thats y i end up with Canon

1st Camera Powershoot A400IS, then Powershoot SX100IS...... then no choice.... more familiar to Canon EOS....:) Future... still Canon.... stuck by lenses... haha....:)

Their marketing was stronger during the time I purchased mine :bsmilie:

Lots of lenses to choose from and affordable compared to nikon

Love the big white Canon L lens, but Sony has it too. Recently saw someone holding a big silver lens, WOW ! very eye catchy kekeke

The silver lens should be the 80-400 or 70-400 or something like that. I once saw it displayed at CP.

I have been into photography for a fairly long time and my first camera then was Pentax (which has alomost become extinct by now) followed by Nikon where I had about three lenses but stopped for several years due to family commitment (young children growing up mainly), 10 years ago when digital first came about I had Olympus, but Canon came along very strongly and I have stayed with Canon for several years now. The user interface is good and they keep coming up with new products, and of course the marketing is strong. Happy shooting!!

because it has wider format(APS-C, APS-H & FF) and got the cheapest digital FF(old one) off all 3 brand(nikon cheapest FF is D700, sony cheapest FF is A850/A900) in the 2nd hand market also canon stuff is much2 cheaper in my home country than the other brand, only differ by a bit from HK :)

Sony has the most affordable FF, not Canon. The last time I checked, the A850 was about 2.8k while 5D2 was about 3.3k.

Most affordable FF > 21mp with video recording?

More people here owns it so can change lens faster ...:)

My uni mate used Canon. Said I could borrow his lens so hoh say liao. Else would certainly have gotten the Nikon F2M.

Anyway down the years bought so many stuffs and have become too deeply entombed in the system (not that I'm complaining) already so never considered switching systems.

Camera bling bling. Think should be meant to match with previous crop body that is silver in colour too.
