Just a thought. Hopefully some R&D guys from those manufacturers can see this.

Before DSLR, the closest digicam to a SLR was those prosumer camera that cannot change lens. How come no one make those for rangefinder? Imagine a Canon Canonet QL17 in digital or a Olympus XA in digital. That will be so cool!

So far, the closest we have in the market is Ricoh GRD, but its still a AF compact that look and feel like a RF.

If R-D1 cost about $4k and M8 cost about $9k, maybe this will break the market at 1k?

Any thoughts?

just buy the GRD and add viewfinder lah bro :D

Cos 99.9% of the camera buyers out there want Autofocus.

Fix lens DC has come out . I thinks it is fuji also sigma(14MG)

No focus ring. No rangefinder kind of focus. Not shiok.
Get a LC1 if you still can find one, then. It's the closest to a digital rangefinder without actually being one... has a Leica Summicron lens with a focusing ring and analog aperture ring as well. ;)
