Why is crumpler bag so popular?

Have not seen the brazilian version so far...

It is one huge sling bag.... can easily carry the stuff a 7 Million Dollar does.... and it has a laptop compartment too.
But imagine carrying camera equipment and a laptop on a slingbag! My shoulders will give way sooner than i can imagine.

I heard that the Brazilian can be converted into a backpack too. Wonder how true...

At that price i'd rather get two bags..

If it's something limited and for the price of $270, i won't mind.

Last month, I went to Melbourne, Australia Crumpler store at Smith Street twice to get a custom made crumpler bag.

The salesperson at that store just ignore me even though there were only a few customers.

Typical Ang Moh, think they are a superior race! Their loss, not ours:angry:

Just changed my 6 million dollar version with 7 million version after realising that the 6 million version is actually not big enough with courtesy of TK photo. Their service is really good:thumbsup:

Never regretted ever since.

were u the guy in the store earlier this week - you were asking richard whether the 80-200 can go into the bag?

70-200 or 80-200 lens are not a problem for the 7 mil dollar home.

Ya. So you are the guy in the shop?

Nice to meet you.

Crumpler has a new competition... KATA bags. This is going to be my Karachi Outpost replacement. Built super light with the best protection for cameras EVER!

Give me Timbuk2 anytime.

Used to be the famous crumplers around. Sigh.

Yup! I've got 2 timbuk2s... (one 9 years old, one about 5). Great bags! Tough as nails.

Still use it for my photo gear, just throw in an insert(taken from my cheap ass Urban Eqpt bag... haha!) and I'm good to go!

They don't make camera bags though...

The KATA bags look very much like a camera bag... not really useful if your aim is getting a camera bag which does not look like a camera bag, i.e. Crumpler...

If I am not wrong, CRUMPLER bags are made from DuPont Codura Plus... its very durable and hardy... CODURA is used in making bags/pouches for the US military...

I agree with the observation that your gear in a Crumpler bag can potentially get wet during a downpour as the closing of the flap is not as "weatherproof" as that of a Lowepro...

I carry the large red plastic bag in my 7 mil dollar home for downpour purposes, just put the whole bag into the plastic bag and tie it up....better than Lowepro's AW.

snoweagle  do it with the thick translucent trashbags, and you can even go swimming with the bag ala river-crossing ops.
