Why I love M4/3

Was reading on the Panny G6. It seem beside the Key-frame & lower bit-rate compared to the GH3, it would be more suitable for videography with the in-built focus peaking function.

I'm still wondering why they have yet to release a fix for the GH3 to include focus peaking!

Glad to see so many brudders enjoying M4/3! I think the format will gather even more momentum when the new generation organic CMOS are ready. Currently this is a joint development between Panasonic and Fujifilm so you can expect these two brands to have first dips. This is projected for late 2014 , early 2015. The dynamic range of the new sensor is something like 26 stops! Better than today's RED or Alexa! I think it's wise to stay invested in the M4/3 format and the lenses are really getting better and better, not to mention speedboosters and lens turbos.

So there will be 3 companies producing m4/3 lens, Panasonic, Olympus & Fujifilm ?

The comment you quoted referred specifically to sensor development, hard to draw any conclusion about lenses yet

yeap.. many companies recognise the potential of the M4/3 system and are making lenses for it.. notably

Panasonic, Olympus (of course!), SLR Magic, Voigtlander, Samyang/Rokinon, Tokina, Sigma, and soon to come, Sakar/Kodak and Kowa. even the popular Zeiss Compact Primes has an option for M4/3 mount.
