Who own the Olympus OMD 5

I'm hunting for the silver OMD 5....but kinda concern that the silver paint will peel or make obvious marks easily.

I have been using my Silver OM-D for the past 18 days in Japan, and the set looks as good as new. No scratching or any paint peeling. That's 18 days of almost constant use and many thousands of shots.
And I must admit I am not the most careful person. My camera goes thru all conditions with me including snow, ice, sand, rain.... most days it just hanged from my neck with no protection except for the LCD screen protector.

So put your mind to rest, the Silver set is fine. :)

You had me at SILVER.

So there are no silver sets right now in Singapore?

Was told by TK silver bodies will be available from mid May. Waiting for it also.....

I've now gotten my 20mm (B+W MRC UV & Rubber Hood) , 45-200mm, Oly hood for 12-50mm, remote shutter, Gorilla Hybrid etc...

Getting the Gariz half-case (special) this week also...

Just waiting for a call from MS COLOR...

Sigh...

Gotten my OMD with HLD-6 this evening :)

One thing which bus me, my hand keeps rubbing the main dial of the HLD-6. This means I might change the aperture setting (aperture priority mode) without knowing. A little hazardous.

The wheels of the HLD-6 should disable when you flip the switch on the HLD-6 to LOCK. You only need to enable it when shooting portrait orientation.

p.s. I got my OM-D (with HLD-6) last night (in Toronto, Canada). I had to opt for the black body only because the silver w/12-50 is delayed, and I wanted it NOW! BTW, even though I just got it, my firmware was 1.0.

If you were to change from landscape to portrait position frequently, flicking the lever can become a hassle......

Was there a promotion?

If you preordered one before the cutoff date.

And reminder to the bros here, I just called up Olympus a few days ago and confirmed that the collection cut off date is at the end of this month.

Don't forget.

Just got mine OM-D last Sat. Very nice cam.

Got a silver body only 2 weeks ago with MMF3 promo (preordered)
