Tiong Bahru is better than Kampong Bahru.... :bsmilie:

Umm.. hullo! Am terribly new here. Interested in exploring though, so decided I should say a hullo before I set off tomorrow on a trip. Need to shoot for school!

What are you looking for?

Old houses?
Shophouses?
Barracks?

Oh btw I've discovered another abandoned hospital somewhere in Singapore, NOT in Changi.

Just anything that catches my eye. One of my assignments is an architectural shot, and most of the cohort is going down to the esplanade.

Wah, my speciality!!! :D

Go Tiong Bahru, Tiong Poh Road area.
Has 20 Art Deco apartment blocks.

Can get some very interesting angles!!!
Also during late afternoon, sunlight/shadow combination can be quite nice.

Another very nice place is Parkview Square, it looks like something from New York!!!

Try Raffles Hotel too, with the sunlight shining thru the columns of the corridors....

Ooh! Thank you!

House number 4 Jalan Kubor is going to undergo extensive restoration and renovation, additions and alteration works.

It's a wooden bungalow. The only stone structures are the pillars and 1st floor walls.

Went this morning, got lost good and proper.:embrass: Was fun though; even though I didn't manage to find the place, I walked around. Would be returning soon (when I don't have deadlines bugging me:what: ), if I can find it again.

Hehe. Friendly people around there, but mostly older folks. Need to learn mandarin; felt so bad I couldn't reply when they smile and tell me something.

Haha. bummer. I was kinda happy thinking I found something on my own. But I agree, they're really unique.
