Deadpoet, i think you've gone too far this time. i have nothing to say when you slam others for their pictures, that's about artworks.

this time you're accusing others of being backward looking because of their outlook on life and people. my religious belief is based on filial piety, are you going to term everyone who takes up that belief as backward looking as well?

not true leh ..... since early man's time, hunters have brought back food for their aged parents ... why? in another thousand year, ppl will still think and believe the same thing. ...... time can never change this .... it's engraved in our gene.
Most younger gen always think like that until when they are older and more matured, and have more experience in a family life .... and then they look back, and they see the answer, and usually after when their children are grown up and their parents are gone.

We all know where we stand. We were all discussing and debating, something that can be a diifcult decision.

This is subjective, some believe that looking back is good, some believe that moving forward is the way to go... :dunno: so u believe that looking back to learn is good, dp believes that looking forward is the way to go...

All are equally important, and you don't really have to make a choice to save who! because God make this decision and you are not God.

If we agree, or only want to hear things that is agreeable, then, what is the point of any discussion. I would not have started this thread. But you are right, too many people, here in CS, in Singapore, in society, want only to hear things that are agreeable.

I like to draw this discussion away from religion, simplier to stay away from it as best as we can.

Since wife and mother had been the center point of all this discussion, I will use them as the proxy for all.

What I am having difficulties understanding is this mother is more important than wife syndrome I am seeing. Why choose to marry a person, to build a life together, till death do us part, and to create the net generation if she is not the most important person in your life?

This is not an easy decision. If it were, will we be talking about it?

I doubt there will be any conclusion to my question, but I believe it's vauable food for thoughts.
