with so many new cameras coming out now, makes me wonder if it's worth getting the Lumix L1 at all.

I defn love the handling since it's so similar to LC1 and nikon Fm2. but then since the latest nikon D80 seems a better buy.

Wat u folks think?

i go 2hands up for D80 if L1 price is around 4k SGD... with that 4k i could have gotton some really :thumbsup: lens to go along with d80

The L1 does come with quite a decent walkabout Leica lens though...but yah...$4k can get u a D200+MB-200+18-200VR, or D80+MB80+18-200VR+SB800!

BTW, anyone tried buying stuff from that vendor ShaShinki? It's based in M'sia but provides free delivery to Singapore for purchases > RM$50. I thought of buying some EN-E4 batteries for nikon D1 series...
