So this is the first post in this thread for 2007. Where have all the film buffs gone? Well, to keep it simple, film is almost dead. There will also be some ppl who like it for sentimental reasons, just like some ppl who prefer to use a CRT monitor over a LCD monitor. I drop photography as a hobby many years ago, but now that I am picking it up again, I am going straight to digital.

People moved on. Believing film is dead will not make you a better digital photographer.

Keke, this thread has been around for like the 3rd year now. :)

Perhaps its time for some one to start a new thread

Who here in the year 2007 still shoots primarily film?

as I believe the result (stats) would be very different now.

i still shoot...in fact for personal pics i will shoot film...hav to go back to the basic, the orginal start....the medium that everyone should enjoy...the wait for the developing of pics!!

I miss film. Now cant get new film camera.

i still shoot film to allow me to remember how i started my photography and my love for film when i have spare cash.

although they might not be stunning pictures but they makes me think of how much i've done to get the camera (and film)

Hi, I am jus about to pick up my old EOS 5 camera and shoot some slides.
Do you guys know whether the EF lens is compatible with the Canon DSLR ? M considering a DSLR body also.

YES! all EF lens are compatible with all DSLR body!

but sometimes some lens might give an ERR 99 which i think may be the lens fault.

That is interesting. My guess is that the results will probably be more film users now ...

I do know several people primarily using film with their Leicas, Hasselblads, Rolleis, etc., but only one of them visits Clubsnap. Leicas seem to be easily sold at the B&S section, except for the poor condition ones. Same with eBay, I am amazed, I cannot win any bid so far, been at it for 2 weeks now, lost one again tonight.

Anyway, I have to go process two rolls of negatives now ...
