Urgent or not for conversion to DVD? You want digital file or proper DVD menu system (ie dvd player).

You can do so with any DV Camcorder. Connect your VHS to your DV Camcorder instead of the TV. Play the video and record it on the DV Camcorder. Look in the manual for the step-by-step setup.

As for the fungus tape. Run it through a tape cleaner. Lots of solution maybe required to clean out the fungus. Remember, the quality of the video depends on your source; hence, it is important to remove all the fungus.

Other means include Computer with video input card or a DVD recorder.

Hi all,

Really grateful for all your responses. Will reply to those who offer me the service. To clarify i just want to convert old travel vhs tapes (still fungus free) into dvd so that i can play it on dvd player or pc. I find it time consuming to do it myself on the pc and worst my dvd writer just kaput. Also dont have a dvd recorder.

My price is approximately $15 per tape. Includes 2 X DVDs (one is a backup) with basic insert and play capabilities on dvd players. Discount for bulk conversion.

I can do customised ones too and conversion to other format but with add-on fees.

I do conversion of tapes as well as provide work station for professional video editing and training as well. 2 weeks ago I gave a 2 hour free talk on video production to some CS members. I have work with Snazzi, Matrox, and was their official trainer and video guy. I provide video services whether it be a one to one training for beginners or prosumer, or conversion, video shooting, etc.
