as to which dive centre is touchy ... i dun wanna put here la. they can be quite nice also .. except for the touchy part. and not hardcore diving, more leisure diving as in less dives lo ... i prefer to dive dive dive dive with only sufficient surface intervals. you should see the amused look on my DM's face when i sulk when he signal to do safety stop .. everytime left 100 bar or more leh! and at rayner's rock i wanna go to 33m to see the nurse shark, but two guys already ascended cos low on air, and my buddy left 50bar when i left 100.... hai. we were at 31m liao le lo. so sad. of course i am usually not the one who is left with more air at the end of each dive, more so that i feel that my tank is wasted...

my buddy also mah ..... go down with 3000psi, I left 1200psi, he left 500psi already .... got to ascend ;( ..... everytime like that ......

actually this kind of thing cannot blame one la. i have to say this becos i am not always the one with more air left, hahaha.. and anyway, by the time my buddy reach 50 bar it is the correct time to ascend le. the other two ascend i can stay at bottom one ma. if i stretch the time also cannot, cos need to go back to resort in time to leave.

Actually that can be a good thing. Next time dive run out of air will goto you.
Alternatively you want to try more funny stuff like let your buddy using your tank air during decent etc.... ha ha ha

Also since your tank pressure change less, it will affect your bouyancy less. But that is not really a big issue except when you are new at it......

I rather do it doing descent. That will result in your buddy keeping more air in the tank than he/she normally does, so that the bottom time for both of you can be longer. Be careful about over doing it or you'll find yourself out of air mid dive. You should stop by the time you end the decent. If it is a very deep decent then perhaps even before reaching the bottom.

By the time you ascent it is more like an emergency liao.

Also if it is a group dive and there are others in the group which uses air substancially faster then maybe there is little point as all have to surface liao.

hmm what i do is after first dive we see who are the heavy breathers,
then we get them to swim together.. so if they out of air they can get out together..

normally i can last at least one hr mah.. wasteful leh so much air..
