great stuff! i've seen a few in Clementi too, but nothing too interesting, just circling around the blocks.. if only the fountain was still there, maybe it could have caught itself a suckerfish or 2.. haha..

Great work & pictures, Thanks for sharing.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Nice pics, thanks for sharing!

I never know that in urban spore could one capture such awe inspiring shots of a beautiful bird in action. I am speechless to say the least...

How far are you away from most of the flyby shots? They all look so close!
I know now that 1DMkII is my next target.
Thanks for sharing such wonderful piece of arts.

loss for words.....

:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

I like "It never gave up", the air strike pose just before hitting the waters timing is just right!

great effort and very good results

What an inspiration!!! Great stuff.... tells such a good story... I m sure you could use the series to do so many things...like using it for a motivational talk for the kids in schools...:thumbsup::thumbsup:

WOW! nice catch...:thumbsup::bigeyes:
What lens were you using?

.

Thanks guys! :)

The distance is usually around 100m or less. (anything more will be too small, even after cropping ...... )
The large size of the eagle helps. ;p

Lens is 300f4 with 1.4 tc. Bright sunny days are the best, but watch the highlights. ;)

yeah, MK II is the way to go. 20D AF can't keep up with the high G turns when the eagle dives. :)

Cheers and happy shooting.

The phots of sea eagle are fantastic. I want to carve an eagle for a weather vane for our building on Kangaroo island and am wondering if I can receive high resolution copies of the sea eagle images.

thanks for the compliment. :)

I however, can't understand the rational of needing a high res photo for a weather vane.....
