White Balance Adjustment for your jpeg in PS

White Balance is prob one of the main challenges we face in u/w photography. Most dc we are bringing u/w DO NOT have RAW.

Saw this in another subforum here, which i find really accurate in producing the correct wb given how much time you actually spent in PS doing in.

note: accurate doesn;t mean it is pleasing to your eyes. I prefer richer colours for u/w
 

yup, there's actually a shortcut i think.

after you do the blur>average, instead of using curves, just hit ctrl+i or right click and select invert. then carry on with the blending and opacity instructions. might save you a couple of mouse clicks and time.
 

I personally prefer the below method.... but it doesn't works with every type of U/W photo. :sweat:

I personally use this technique too. I often play with the transparency of the red layer to try to have something a bit more pleasant to your eye...
Honestly, it's quite often just a start as some more 'manual' PS is often needed.
