Which to get 60D or 7D for video?

Hi Clubsnapers,

I am looking at getting either a 60D or 7D, i think the price differences is abt 600-800.
As i am looking for a camara to take most video, which is a better buy? i may get a 5DMIII when it comes out maybe 2-3 years down the road.

advantage of 60D:- Vari view finder, Manual sound control..
Advantage of 7D:- weather seal, lower ISO noise than 60d?....

Appreciate all advice.

Just got my 60D and the video is stunning....but just not sure whether 60D will face the overheating issue like 7D. Afterall...a DSLR is a camera meant to take photos, video is an add-on feature. The swivel screen is good.

Hey guys, to add on a question, What length of video is suitable for a 60D. Like a continious 30min video shot is possible?

the panasonic GH1 (not euro version) can record more than the 12 mins limitations on canon dslrs.

Depends on what you shoot actually. Unless you're shooting a talk or something continuous like that (animal movements?) , we seldom go above 12 mins.
